I have spent the last little while trying to redesign my blog because I felt that when I created it I didn’t really have a set theme and just went with the flow which led to it feeling messy and unorganized. It took a while and a lot of brainstorming before I figured out the type of feel I wanted this blog to display but I think I’ve accomplished the first steps within the logo I have created.
I have always loved the whimsical element that is found in Alice in wonderland and wanted to incorporate that into my own personal creative wonderland. This lead to the use of the white rabbit in my logo design. I sketched out multiple rough drafts before settling on this design concept and I’m pretty happy with the results.
The thing that took me the largest portion of time was the brainstorming and sketches which took me days. I was having trouble finding an idea that I was willing to expand upon and stick with. The actual Illustrator image, however, only took me approximately 2-3 hours to create. This includes the time it took me to pick and create the colour palate as well as choosing the font style. I believe that this turned out really well and for my first attempt to make something like this I’m proud of the result.
